Also confirms agreement to supply Global Mobile Communications’ rugged handset
Distributor Ingram Micro has sealed a deal to supply Krusell International’s range of smartphone, tablet and laptop cases.
Swedish firm Krusell, which has been operating for more than 20 years, produces more than three million cases for export ever year for export around the globe.
The deal with Ingram Micro is for a small number of European countries. Krusell’s products are already sold in the UK through Expansys.
“This agreement enhances our existing ability to offer Krusell accessories to a small number of countries, by now ensuring that our customers can benefit with access to the Krusell mobile phone and smartphone cases in 18 countries across Europe,” said Ingram Micro senior manager companion products accessories Europe Brian Windsor.
Krusell also works with Sony, Samsung and LG on a subcontractor basis.
Ingram has also confirmed a deal with Global Mobile Communications to supply its Defender smartphone, first reported by Mobile News earlier this summer.
It is a rugged four-inch smartphone targeted at the manual worker’s market. It has 3G connectivity, dual SIM capability, an 8MP camera, 2600mAH battery and runs on the Android 4.2 OS.
It is also waterproof, dust proof and drop proof to suit the needs of the manual labour market
